A leading security services provider is seeking an experienced professional for a role focused on managing Cash in Transit operations at their Cape Town branch. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, compliance with procedures, and maintaining strong client relations. Ideal applicants should possess relevant experience in the Cash in Transit industry, hold a valid PSIRA accreditation, and demonstrate strong leadership and planning abilities. This role may involve overtime as needed.
Reporting to the Branch Manager
The above position is vacant at our Cape Town Branch.
The overall purpose of this position is to ensure that Cash in Transit (CIT) operations are conducted according to planned procedures and schedules.
Clear criminal record
Valid driver's license – code 10 drivers license (C1) with PDP is an advantage
Own transport is an advantage
Valid PSIRA accredited at least with Grade C
Cash in Transit certificate
Completed firearm training in handgun
SAPS competency certificate
Computer literate (compulsory)
Prepared to work overtime regularly
At least 5 years' experience in Cash in Transit industry / Security industry or similar role (advantageous at FSG)
CIT management / supervising experience and knowledge of HR / IR is an advantage
Knowledge of ISO : quality management and its requirements
Strong planning, leadership, organisational skills and interpersonal skills
Responsible for all operational issues to the entire client base of his / her region – through daily communication, instruction giving and follow-up with employees
Ensure all clients are serviced as per contractual requirements
ATM Operations specialist with regards to client service, risk management and reporting
Staff and client retention
Risk management
Ensure all administrative responsibilities relating to daily operational requirements are complete
Full responsibility and accountability for the vehicle (report mechanical faults, refuelling, operating the various security systems, ensure cleanliness of the vehicle, etc.)
Accident prevention and reporting
Assist the crew in loading and unloading of consignments when needed
Carry out security drills and maintain security awareness
Take preventative actions towards any suspicious activity
Liaise with management and all staff
Maintain good relations between the Branch and the client with regard to services rendered
Ensure security and manage movement of CIT schedules during transit
Must be honest and reliable
Must have good verbal and language abilities
Must be assertive
