Job summary

A leading consulting firm is seeking a Junior Solidworks Mechanical Design Engineer in Gauteng, South Africa. The successful candidate will lead mechanical design projects, conduct design reviews, and create CAD models using SolidWorks Fusion. This role requires a Mechanical Engineering Diploma and at least 3 years of experience in the automation industry. Candidates must be self-motivated and proficient in creating manufacturing drawings and managing Bills of Materials. The position is on-site with compensation based on skills and experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer, preferably in the automation industry.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, self-motivation, and organizational skills.
• Experience creating and managing BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and lead medium to large mechanical design projects.
• Perform design reviews and manage project risks.
• Develop manufacturing drawings in accordance with company standards.
