We're looking for a hands-on SAIPA completed articles Accountant who's ready to dive into the real numbers behind a small group of dynamic businesses. If you love Xero, have solid experience doing books up to Management Accounts, and want the flexibility of hybrid work, this could be your next move.

Our office is based in Tokai, but we're planning a move to Woodstock/CBD in Feb 2026-so if you enjoy a mix of leafy suburbs and city energy, you'll fit right in.

Job Details

Job Title: New SAIPA Accountant (just completed articles)

Location: Tokai (relocating to Woodstock/CBD in Feb 2026)

Work Type: Full-time Hybrid (some flexibility)

About the Role

You'll take ownership of the full accounting function across a portfolio of small but growing businesses. This is a varied, involved role where your attention to detail and strong grasp of Xero will be valued from day one. You'll work closely with the owner/director and get exposure across industries.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage day-to-day financial operations across multiple entities
  • Process transactions, bank reconciliations, and journals in Xero
  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts
  • Oversee VAT, PAYE, and SARS submissions
  • Assist with annual financial statements
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and service providers
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
  • Spot process gaps and suggest improvements
Requirements
  • Finance Degree / Diploma with recently completed SAIPA articles OR at least 3-5 years' experience in a senior bookkeeping/accounting role
  • Proficient in Xero
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and statutory reporting
  • Comfortable managing multiple entities
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy
