A leading educational organization is looking for enthusiastic workshop facilitators for their National Benchmarking Test Workshops in Johannesburg. This part-time position is ideal for full-time or retired educators and post-graduate students in relevant fields. Responsibilities include teaching and delivering workshops, as well as basic administration. Applicants need to have a degree in education or related subjects and preferably five years of teaching experience. Strong technology skills and a passion for education are essential. Workshops take place mainly on weekends and holidays.
We're looking for workshop facilitators to support our National Benchmarking Test AQL Workshops!
This contract role is perfect for full‑time or retired educators, Maths / English teaching students, or post‑graduate students in English, Maths, Economics, Science or Engineering.
Our NBT courses are run as School Workshops and Open Workshops, both in person and live online.
Workshops are mainly delivered on weekends, during school holidays and, in some cases, during the week.
Facilitators will be responsible for teaching and delivering our high‑impact NBT AQL Preparation workshops, which are taught in English.
This position is available to educators in Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Durban.
Ability to facilitate the MAT Workshop and to teach in Afrikaans is advantageous.
The contract depends on the number of workshop hours (AQL is four hours), the level of teaching experience and NBT experience. In the event of travel, a subsistence allowance and any related travel costs are paid over and above the workshop fee.
A bonus is paid if an AQL and an MAT NBT Preparation Workshop are taught on the same weekend by the same educator. You will be employed on a part‑time contractual basis for the duration of the NBT season.
The majority of courses are held over weekends and holidays in the main cities around South Africa.
The courses that the Facilitator is to deliver will be agreed to with the Advantage Learn team prior to course delivery.
An offer of employment is dependent upon receipt of satisfactory references, a personal interview, completion of the NBT Educator course, NBT test results, Child Protection Register check, and teaching practice review.
If you are interested in the position, please send your CV and a five‑minute video of yourself teaching a Grade 12 Maths concept for AQL to the designated email address. Please include the role's title in your subject line.
You may consider your application unsuccessful if you are not contacted within 3 weeks of submitting your CV.
