Mining Sales Representative
Boksburg, Gauteng
Job Purpose:
To drive sales growth within the mining industry by developing strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and promoting company products and services to meet and exceed revenue targets.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business objectives within the mining sector.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across mining companies, contractors, and related stakeholders.
- Manage and facilitate vendor registration processes with mining houses and contractors, ensuring company compliance with procurement requirements.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients through regular site visits, presentations, and follow-ups.
- Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and value propositions tailored to client needs.
- Collaborate with technical, operations, and product teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Prepare and deliver sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates to management.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms in line with company policies.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and mining project developments.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards during all client interactions.
- Attend industry events, exhibitions, and conferences to represent the company and generate leads.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in sales within the mining or heavy industrial sector.
- Demonstrated experience in managing vendor registration processes within the mining industry.
- Strong knowledge of mining processes, equipment, and/or consumables.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts.
- Strong business development mindset and results-driven approach.
- Willingness to travel extensively to client sites and remote mining locations.
- Relevant qualification in Business, Engineering, Mining, or related field (advantageous).
