Job summary

A mining company in Upington is seeking an HSE Officer to implement health, safety, and environmental systems. The position requires a qualified candidate with 3–5 years of experience in the mining industry, specifically in chrome mining. Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years' experience as an HSE Officer in the mining industry.
• Strong understanding of MHSA, DMR requirements, and mining regulatory compliance.
• Experience with contractor management and mine site HSE systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the MHSA and conduct regular inspections.
• Conduct incident/accident investigations using root-cause analysis methods.
• Participate in emergency response planning and drills.

Education
