Work model : Hybrid - 4 days in office 1 day remote. Fully in-office during probation period. Salary : R22 000 R30 000 CTC

What the job involves..

Building maintaining and optimising responsive WordPress websites

Translating designs from Figma Adobe XD or similar into clean pixel-perfect builds

Customising WordPress themes (both custom-built and premium)

Implementing strong SEO and site speed optimisations

Ensuring website security and best practices are in place

Troubleshooting plugin conflicts and technical snags

Managing hosting environments Git workflows and deployments

Providing ongoing maintenance within agreed SLAs

Collaborating with project managers designers and fellow developers

Offering technical input in planning phases

Staying current with the latest in WordPress tools and trends

What you need to be considered..

3 5 years of professional WordPress development experience

Strong skills in PHP HTML5 CSS3 (SASS / SCSS) JavaScript (including jQuery)

Experience developing custom themes and plugins

Good knowledge of MySQL and database queries

Familiarity with ACF CPTs and WordPress hooks

Experience with page builders like Elementor WPBakery Gutenberg

Proficient in Git command-line tools and deployment workflows

Strong understanding of technical SEO schema and accessibility

Able to work independently with great attention to detail

Excellent communication and time management

Bonus points if you..

Know WooCommerce development

Have experience with Headless WordPress (React / Vue)

Are familiar with hosting platforms like Kinsta WP Engine or Cloudways

Understand front-end tools like Figma XD Photoshop Illustrator

Have experience with Angular or in a WordPress context

Come from an agency environment
