Salary: R40000 R60000 per month (negotiable contract or permanent)

Job Summary: We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Mid-Level Odoo Application Consultant to join our team. You will act as the bridge between business users and our technical development team ensuring smooth end-to-end Odoo ERP implementations. Your focus will be on understanding business processes gathering requirements configuring Odoo modules and delivering solutions that drive customer success.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct discovery sessions with clients to understand their processes and gather requirements.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications and Odoo configurations.
• Configure standard and custom Odoo modules across areas such as Case Management, Workflow, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, Accounting, CRM and Manufacturing.
• Customize workflows, approval chains and business rules using configuration tools.
• Participate in solution design workshops, create documentation and deliver user manuals.
• Support data migration, testing, UAT and go-live activities.
• Deliver client training and provide post-implementation support.
• Collaborate with developers on customisations and validate delivered functionality.
• Keep up to date with Odoo updates and contribute to best practices internally.

Requirements

• 24 years experience as an Odoo Consultant or in ERP implementation roles.
• Strong knowledge of Odoo functional modules.
• Proven experience gathering requirements preparing functional specs and delivering ERP solutions.
• Ability to configure workflows, approval routes and module parameters.
• Solid understanding of business processes in one or more industries (manufacturing, distribution, services).
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Advantageous:
• Experience with Odoo Studio or low-code configuration tools.
• Basic knowledge of XML or Python.
• Familiarity with South African VAT, payroll or regulatory requirements.
• Odoo functional certifications.

Education

Education: Bachelors degree in Business Information Systems Engineering or a related field (preferred).
