Job summary

A leading medical waste management company in Gauteng is seeking a motivated Plant Supervisor to oversee daily operations at its treatment plant. The successful candidate will manage a team of production staff, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining high levels of quality and efficiency. Applicants should have at least 5 years' experience in a waste treatment plant, strong leadership skills, and a solid understanding of waste treatment processes. This role may require occasional weekend or evening shifts.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a waste treatment plant.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a waste treatment plant.
  • Knowledge of medical waste regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the operations of the medical waste treatment plant.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Oversee the disposal and treatment of medical waste materials.
  • Maintain records of waste processing activities.
  • Train and supervise plant staff.
  • Implement and enforce plant procedures and policies.
  • Monitor equipment performance and maintenance.
