Job summary

A healthcare recruitment firm in Pinetown is looking for a Medical Practice Manager with billing experience. The candidate will be responsible for assisting patients, handling schedules, managing theatre bookings, and submitting medical aid claims. Ideal candidates have at least 3 years in a surgical practice, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of Neurosurgical coding and VeriClaim experience are advantages. This role offers a Monday to Friday schedule with overtime as required.

Medical Practice Manager (with billing experience), Pinetown - KZN

Our client, a specialist surgeon based in Pinetown, is seeking to recruit a Practice Manager and Personal Assistant.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Greeting and assisting patients in a friendly and professional manner
• Diary Management of patients and doctor
• Theatre bookings and arrangements
• Obtaining authorizations from medical aids for procedures
• Motivation letters
• Strong knowledge of ICD10 coding
• Invoicing and medical aid submissions
• Processing claims timeously and following up on short payments and rejections and attending to patient liable accounts
• Attending to collections and maintaining a healthy debtor's book
• Liaise with key stakeholders, including hospital staff

Qualification & requirements

• Matric
• Driver's license and own transport
• At least 3 years' experience in a surgical practice
• Knowledge of Neurosurgical coding is an advantage
• Excellent verbal and written English language skills
• VeriClaim experience is an advantage
• Microsoft Office Suite experience is an advantage
