Mechatronic Engineer – Industrial Automation

📍 Netherlands (On-site) | 🕓 Full-time | 🏷️ Engineering

We’re looking for a hands‑on, innovative Automation Engineer with a strong mechatronics background and experience in PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.

You’ll work on exciting industrial automation projects across manufacturing, packaging, and process environments - designing, commissioning, and optimizing high-performance systems.

What you’ll be doing:

• Designing, programming, and integrating mechatronic and automation systems for industrial machinery and process lines.
• Developing and testing PLC logic, HMI screens, and SCADA interfaces to improve production efficiency and reliability.
• Collaborating with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to deliver seamless control solutions.
• Performing commissioning, troubleshooting, and system upgrades both in‑house and on‑site.
• Working with servo systems, motion control, and sensor integration to ensure precise and efficient machine operation.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronic, Electrical, or Industrial Automation Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
• 3+ years’ experience in industrial automation or system integration (manufacturing, packaging, food & beverage, or process industry).
• Strong working knowledge of PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Beckhoff, or similar).
• Experience with HMI and SCADA systems, and a good understanding of network communications (Modbus, Profinet, OPC‑UA).
• Familiarity with servo drives, sensors, actuators, and motion control systems.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication in English & Afrikaans (as it is similar to Dutch)
