Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Issuing of raw material and feed backing into M3.
  • Cycle counting and maintaining control of stock.
  • Loading and off-loading of trucks.
  • Performing risk assessments (HIRA).
  • Assist PCDC Material Handler whenever necessary.

Your mission as a Material Handler

Your mission as a Material Handler is to strive for operational excellence and best practices and support the company’s values through ensuring the smooth, efficient and cost effective operations of the company and thereby contribute to achieving the companies goals and abide to the guidelines of the quality, environmental, health and safety acts. (QSHE).

What you’ll do
  • Issuing of raw material and feed backing into M3
  • Cycle counting and maintaining control of stock
  • Preparing for stock take and actual counting
  • Capturing GRN (goods received notes)
  • Loading and off-loading of trucks
  • Oversee adherence to quality requirements as specified in the work instructions and quality requirements
  • Performing risk assessments (HIRA)
  • Perform planed task observations (PTO's)
  • On occasion when requested by other departments (Production, Maintenance, QSHE), will have to assist in different areas
  • Assist PCDC Material Handler whenever necessary.
  • Be able to perform 6S
  • Be able to do projects (Continuous Improvements)
  • Will carry out any other function or duty as may be required in terms of "The Way We Do Things"
What you’ll bring
  • A minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in Product knowledge within the manufacturing environment
  • Grade 12 or any relevant related qualifications
  • Forklift and/or combilift license
  • Good mathematical skills and the ability to read and perform mathematical calculations
  • Understanding of lean principles
