SUMMARY: Our client, an NPO, operating in the arts and music industry in KZN, requires a Marketing & Communications Co-ordinator with a passion for arts, culture and artist development to join their dynamic team. This role plays a key part in increasing visibility, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and driving participation across their programmes and creative facilities.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement integrated marketing and communications strategies aligned with organisational objectives
  • Manage and grow the organisational brand across all platforms and touchpoints
  • Drive awareness and participation in programmes, initiatives, and facilities
  • Oversee digital platforms, website content, social media, and content creation
  • Manage public relations and media engagement, including press releases and media coverage
  • Support fundraising, sponsorship, and donor communications through strategic marketing
  • Build and maintain relationships with partners, sponsors, media, and the creative community
  • Prepare high-level marketing and communications reports for management and committees
Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:
  • B-degree in Marketing or a related field (Preferred)
  • Marketing, communications, and brand management experience
  • Proven digital and social media expertise, with hands‑on experience across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
  • Ability to capture, curate, and publish high‑quality content, including managing live social media feeds during key programmes and events
  • Media relations and public relations experience
  • Strong project management, analytical, and reporting skills
  • Valid driver’s licence required
  • Willingness and ability to travel provincially and nationally, including occasional weekend, night‑time, and overnight travel
  • Experience or familiarity with the creative and cultural sector will be an advantage
