Description
RPO Recruitment is currently seeking a highly motivated Maintenance Manager to join a reputable company in Johannesburg. In this role, you will oversee the maintenance operations of the facilities and ensure optimal performance of all equipment. You will be responsible for implementing maintenance strategies that enhance safety and productivity while managing a dedicated team of maintenance technicians.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective maintenance management programs to ensure maximum equipment uptime
- Lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance and support in day-to-day operations
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of equipment to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
- Coordinate with other departments to synchronize maintenance activities with production schedules
- Analyze maintenance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Manage maintenance budgets, ensuring cost-effective expenditure
- Develop training programs for staff to enhance skills and ensure best practices are followed within the team
Requirements- 5+ years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in a solar environment
- Strong understanding of maintenance best practices and reliability-centered maintenance principles
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and related software
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred
