Job summary

A dynamic engineering firm in Paarl seeks a Machine Builder to join their Production Team. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience in building and commissioning packaging machines. Responsibilities include assembly, installation, testing, and after-sales support. A valid driver’s license is required, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Overtime and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in machine building and commissioning.
• Valid driver’s license – Code B.
• Must be willing to travel nationally and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Assemble packaging machines according to specifications.
• Setup, fault find, and test machines.
• Install and commission machines on customer premises.
• Provide after sales/customer support assistance.

Overview

Machine Builder – We are recruiting for a dynamic Machine Builder to join our Production Team.

Skills and requirements

• Minimum qualification: Qualified Fitter or Fitter & Turner.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in the building, testing, debugging, installation and commissioning of packaging machines (experience on liquid packaging machines preferred).
• Must be a team player as well as have the ability to work independently.
• Must be willing to work overtime and travel nationally as well as internationally as required.
• Knowledge of electrical and pneumatic fault finding, as well as tig welding of stainless steel will be to the candidate’s advantage.
• Valid driver’s license – Code B

Key Responsibilities

• Assembly of packaging machines according to engineering drawings & specifications.
• Setup, fault finding and testing of machines.
• Installation and commissioning of machines on customer premises until full signoff by customer.
• Fault finding & maintenance on machines and after sales/ customer support assistance.
• Responsible for quality inspections of manufactured machines.
