Job description

Requirements

• 18 years old for a Code 10 license (medium trucks)
• 21 years old for a Code 14 license (heavy trucks and trailers)

Training and Certification

• Enroll in a certified driving school that offers truck driver training. This prepares you for both the theory and practical tests.

Medical Certificate

• A valid medical certificate from a registered practitioner is required to confirm you’re fit to drive heavy vehicles.

Professional Driving Permit (PDP)

• Mandatory for all commercial drivers. You must apply for a PDP at a DLTC and pass a criminal background check.

Candidate Profile

• Candidate with some driving history.

Working Hours

• Working hours can be long and irregular, especially for long-haul routes.
