The Legal Advisor will provide support within the Legal Services Team by assisting in the drafting, review, and negotiation of legal documents, conducting legal research, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations across commercial, corporate, litigation, and other legal matters. The role offers a strong foundation for professional growth within the legal team, with exposure to commercial transactions and cross‑functional collaboration. The incumbent will apply sound legal judgement, maintain a solution‑oriented approach, and support strategic and operational objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a range of commercial agreements and correspondence independently or under supervision.
  • Build effective working relationships with various business teams and internal stakeholders to provide timely legal support.
  • Undertake legal research and prepare clear, concise advice on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters.
  • Engage proactively with internal stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Assist in the periodic review of company policies to ensure compliance with legislation and internal policies.
  • Identify potential legal and contractual risks and provide practical, solution‑oriented recommendations.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of legal policies, templates, and process improvements.
  • Assist in developing internal processes to manage legal risk across business functions.
  • Investigate and report on customer and stakeholder queries as required.
  • Support with co‑ordination of litigious matters and briefing external counsel when required.
  • Provide regular reports on the status of legal issues being dealt with.
  • Ensure that all relevant information regarding legal matters is accurate and kept up to date by updating the legal activity progress documents and providing regular reports on problem status to the relevant management teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate high levels of integrity and professionalism.
Qualifications and Experience
  • LLB Degree (or equivalent legal qualification). Admitted attorney.
  • 2–5 years’ post‑qualification experience, preferably in a law firm, corporate, IT or technology‑focused legal environment.
  • Foundational experience in commercial law, drafting, and negotiation.
  • Ability to provide practical legal solutions in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong research, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical, general commercial contract drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to supervise multiple matters, and to work independently and effectively with various in‑house clients, peers and other parties.
