Qualifications

About the Role

Legal Advisor (2-5 years PQE)Location : JohannesburgIndustry : FintechCTC : up to a maximum of R p / aFull-time, In office

Responsibilities
  • Comprehensive knowledge of, and experience with, reviewing, drafting and negotiating a wide range of agreements and documents
  • Assisting with litigation and active engagement in dispute resolution matters
  • Researching legal matters and providing legal opinions
  • Continuously staying abreast of changes in legislation and regulations
  • Developing and implementing policies, procedures and processes
  • Identifying, assessing, implementing and reporting key legal and compliance risk indicators, controls and action plans
  • Monitor legal compliance with fintech and payment industry laws and regulations including FICA, NCA, CPA, FSCA, FAIS and PASA, where applicable
  • Providing day to day legal support, advice and guidance to the company
  • Deliver internal legal training and awareness campaigns

Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB)
  • Admitted attorney in South Africa
  • 2-5 years PQE
  • Experienced in fintech, financial services, or fast-moving corporate environments (advantageous)
