Lead Field Project Engineer – Industrial & Energy Technology

Join our Industrial and Energy Technology Team

Our Industrial and Energy Technology (IET) operates across 120 countries and serves the energy value chain and industrial sector. We hold an extensive portfolio of rotating equipment, process flow, transmission technology and lifecycle services. Our Engineering Transformation teamwork improves the quality of our Engineering processes.

Responsibilities
  • Being the technical reference point to site team & customers managing the scope of the assigned Projects in order to promptly resolve any technical issues reported from Projects.
  • Assisting in troubleshooting issues of various products like Heavy-Duty Gas Turbines, Aeroderivative Gas turbines, Electric Motor driven Centrifugal compressors, Gearboxes and Auxiliary systems etc.
  • Coordinate and communicate with customer representatives, vendors, multi-functional teams, fulfilling customized evaluations and optimization studies.
  • Engineering Lessons Learnt management, Root Cause Analysis and assist in defining & implementing Corrective & Preventive action plan.
  • Coordinate engineering modifications required in field, Execute any additional requests/Change orders with customers.
  • Document management, Non-Conformity Management, FMEA preparation and execution.
  • Leading and managing Quality Processes, assist in preparation of critical site milestones and KPIs.
  • Being available to travel to sites locations as per requirement to assist in data collection, interact with site team and customer for critical issues resolution.
Qualifications
  • Have a bachelor's degree in Mechanical or equivalent Engineering degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience with interpreting engineering & technical documents (Process & instrument diagrams (P&ID), Instrument List, etc.
  • Minimum 7 years' technical experience on rotating machinery.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Project Engineering/Management handling large Projects.
  • Knowledge on any of the Baker Hughes or equivalent OEM Products or Technologies such as Heavy-duty gas Turbines (HDGT), Aeroderivative Gas Turbines or Motor driven Centrifugal compressors.
  • Passionate and enthusiastic to work in fast paced, challenging and dynamic environment.
  • Fluency in English with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Engage proactively, ability to influence others and lead small teams.
  • Flexibility to travel to different sites.
