Role Overview

The Lead : Draught Beer is responsible for transforming the draught beer experience across South Africa, ensuring consistently high-quality service and product through technical excellence, standardized procedures, and strategic leadership. The role seeks to guarantee that every draught beer served is cold, refreshing, and of exceptional quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategy Definition – Formulate draught beer strategy and policies, audit and optimize cooling and dispensing systems, and adapt operations to local needs.
  • Supplier & Technical Coordination – Build a robust supplier network and ensure efficient installation and maintenance via collaboration with technical teams.
  • Standardization – Define and implement standard technical procedures, set quality criteria, and oversee regional audits for quality adoption.
  • Team Empowerment – Foster leadership in technical teams, train sales staff, and encourage cross-functional collaboration.
  • Customer & Consumer Value – Analyze market and consumer insights, develop differentiated value propositions, and communicate quality at point-of-sale.
  • Performance Management – Establish KPIs for tap performance and service, manage SLAs with third parties, and generate action-oriented performance reports.

Success indicators include improved beer quality perception, reduced technical failures, enhanced customer satisfaction, and full sales team alignment with the draught beer strategy.
