SUMMARY

Job Title: Junior Marketing Graphic Designer

Location: Midrand

Remuneration: Salary package negotiable, aligned with experience and industry benchmarks.

Our client, a global leader in reliable networking and smart technology, is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Junior Graphic Designer to join our Marketing team in Midrand.

The ideal candidate is passionate about design and visual storytelling, understands brand consistency, and is confident working across both digital and traditional marketing channels.

This role supports the marketing team with the creation, adaptation, and management of a wide range of design materials, including social media content, website visuals, printed collateral, and event branding.

The successful candidate will also assist in maintaining digital asset storage systems and provide general marketing support when required.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a related field.
  • One to two years of design experience, ideally in a product marketing environment.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop (essential).
  • Proficiency in Canva (essential).
  • Basic understanding of Adobe Illustrator and InDesign is advantageous.
  • Experience with video editing tools for short social media clips.
  • Exposure to email marketing platforms (such as Mailchimp) or CMS systems (such as WordPress or Wix) is beneficial.
  • Strong sense of layout, typography, color balance and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to take direction and contribute ideas.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and adapt designs for social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok), ensuring brand alignment and visual consistency.
  • Design digital marketing materials such as web banners, online adverts, newsletters, email headers, online brochures and presentation templates.
  • Create traditional marketing collateral including printed banners, posters, flyers and in-store display materials.
  • Assist with photo editing, retouching and resizing for campaigns and product marketing.
  • Support website content updates with optimized graphics, content edits and layout recommendations.
  • Ensure all creative outputs align with brand guidelines, tone and messaging.
  • Maintain and organize design files, folders and templates within shared storage platforms (such as SharePoint, OneDrive or Google Drive).
  • Assist with sharing approved design assets with internal teams and distributors when required.
  • Support the marketing team with the preparation and coordination of branded materials for events, activations and exhibitions.
  • Provide general support to marketing activities as required, including photography coordination, supplier research, quote requests and campaign reporting support.
