Job summary

A boutique law firm in Pretoria East is seeking a Junior Attorney to support senior attorneys in labour and employment law matters. The role involves client interactions, litigation support, and drafting key legal documents. Ideal candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in this field and an LLB degree, along with excellent communication and analytical skills. This position offers exposure to CCMA arbitrations and significant growth opportunities in the legal profession.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ practical experience in labour / employment law.
  • Experience dealing with clients, including advisory and litigation support.
  • Comfortable with some remote / hybrid work structure.

Responsibilities

  • Handle labour law cases: CCMA arbitrations, conciliations, applications.
  • Draft pleadings, affidavits, contracts, collective agreements.
  • Communicate with clients and advise on labour compliance.

Skills

Strong knowledge of South African labour law
Excellent drafting skills
Analytical and communication skills
Ability to work independently

Education

LLB or equivalent law degree & admitted
