Job summary

A finance recruitment agency is seeking a finance all-rounder for a role involving day-to-day accounting tasks with opportunities for growth into senior finance leadership. The candidate should possess a Diploma or Degree in Accounting and ideally have experience with Xero and statutory compliance. The Role

This is a hands-on, all-rounder finance position where you'll take ownership of day-to-day accounting tasks, working closely with the General Manager. As the business develops, there will be opportunities for you to grow into a senior finance leadership role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Upload and allocate bank transactions in Xero and reconcile bank accounts
  • Send customer statements and handle account queries
  • Review and approve supplier bills
  • Perform weekly supplier payments
  • Conduct weekly market sales and stock checks, collaborating on stock control improvements
  • Process monthly payroll and submit EMP returns
  • Perform VAT reconciliations and prepare submissions
  • Prepare and post monthly accounting journals
  • Complete month-end reconciliations and prepare management accounts
  • Coordinate all finance-related office functions
  • Train and support office staff on finance processes
  • Improve and document finance and admin procedures
  • Liaise with auditors and ensure finance compliance

Minimum Requirements

  • Strong Excel skills
