Job summary

An established IT service provider based in Gauteng is looking for an IT Technician to provide technical support and maintain IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of relevant experience and will be responsible for resolving IT-related issues, performing regular maintenance checks, and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations. A+, N+ certifications will be advantageous.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar IT role.
• Experience performing hardware repairs and installations.
• Ability to perform system updates and maintenance checks.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems (Windows and Linux) and across a range of software applications
• Provide first-line support for IT-related issues, including hardware, software, and network troubleshooting
• Respond to and resolve helpdesk tickets in a timely manner
• Assist with system updates, patches, and backups
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and peripherals
• Perform regular maintenance checks to ensure optimal system performance
• Handle hardware repairs and replacements as necessary
• Matric
• A+, N + will be an advantage
• MAC Knowledge may be an advantage
• At least 2 Year experience in a similar role
• This position involves standby and shifts imperative to have own reliable transportation
