IT Support & Infrastructure Technician (L1) – Automotive Industry | Goodwood, Cape Town
(Hardware, Software & SQL) – Automotive Sector - IT All-Rounder | Microsoft & SQL Environment
JOB OVERVIEW / ROLE PURPOSE
- Support of users, New & Current Established Systems:
- Vision, Back-up, Workstations, Basic network, Printing and Microsoft Applications.
- Multiple Site Support of IT hardware infrastructure:
- Cape Town Distribution Centre
- Cape Branch Offices
Performs the following daily:
- IT Hardware and Software Support
- Assist Operational Team with WMS, Office 365, Antivirus and Windows Support at Head Office
- Assist operational team in the branch office s with:
- POS and Back Office (Vision Pro, Antivirus, Backup and Windows) support.
- Update and Maintain Asset Register and user configuration on windows, Office365, POS, Uniclox.
- Deploy and document group wide Firewall Configuration Setup for branches
Must have
- Valid Drivers licence
- Own Vehicle
- Clear ITC records (No Defaults, Judgements or Debt Review)
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Matric with Mathematics
- Information Technology Degree
- Microsoft Certification (advantageous)
- Security Certification (advantageous)
Experience
- More than 2+ years' experience with configuring and setting up IT of systems.
- IT ALL ROUNDER: Technical knowledge and experience of:
- Hardware and Software Deployment,
- Troubleshooting & Problem solving
- Excellent Troubleshooting skills with rapid resolution
- Must have a good understanding & Hands on experience of IT Infrastructure:
- Microsoft Infrastructures
- Microsoft applications and SQL DB (MS SQL Databases)
- IT Security (FW, IPS, EPS) in line with CIS controls
- ICT Infrastructure Monitoring
- Firewall Configuration Setup
- Ability to take ownership of an ICT problem or project from beginning to completion.
- Knowledge of ISO policies relating to network and security.
- Strong analytical skills for Information processing.
