• Experienced NCTJ or equivalent senior qualified journalist with exceptional media law knowledge.
• Bold and confident, able to develop a strong contacts book.
• Strong editing and writing skills, capable of meeting tight deadlines.
• Social media savvy with current SEO knowledge.
• Flexible and inquisitive, attuned to great storytelling.
• First-rate editing and writing skills under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Produce investigative and lighthearted stories for Devon and surrounding regions.
• Deliver fast turnaround on local community stories with exclusive content.
• Research and publish in accordance with the Editor’s Code of practice.
• Use digital formats and identify breaking news via social media.
