Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an Instrumentation Technician for a position in East London. The ideal candidate will be a Trade Tested Electrician with substantial experience in industrial environments, particularly in PLC programming and fault finding. Candidates should possess strong skills in electrical fault-finding, panel wiring, and motor controls. Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ post-trade experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Solid knowledge of PLC programming and fault finding.

Responsibilities

  • Familiarity with Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) and SCADA systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards in an industrial setting.

Instrumentation Technician - East London

Qualifications
  • Trade Tested Electrician with an Instrumentation specialization (Red Seal preferred).
  • N6 in Electrical Engineering preferable
Responsibilities
  • Minimum 5 years’ post-trade experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Solid knowledge of PLC programming and fault finding (preferably Siemens, Allen Bradley, ABB, Delta, Mitsubishi, Schneider, B&R, Bosch Rexroth)
  • Proficient in electrical fault-finding, panel wiring, and motor control systems
  • Familiarity with Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) and SCADA systems is advantageous
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards in an industrial setting
  • Ability to work shifts, overtime, and standby as operationally required
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work in a team
