Could you be the full‑time Industrial Quality Engineer in Nigel, Gauteng (Fixed‑Term Role) within our CRRC Project we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your quality management and engineering expertise in a cutting‑edge field. You’ll work alongside a collaborative and innovative team of professionals.

You’ll ensure Product Quality compliance according to customer and internal specifications, contributing to a seamless and high‑performing production process. Day‑to‑day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, including Process & Manufacturing Engineering (PME), Supply Chain (SC), and Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) teams, participate in customer inspections, and implement quality control plans, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of deploying industrial quality standards during manufacturing processes and ensuring the compliance of manufactured products before shipping, but also support the decision‑making process for production handovers and lead efficient line quality animation with cross‑functional teams.

We’ll look to you for:
  • Managing industrial activities in the workshop, focusing on people, process, and performance
  • Performing Defects per Unit (DpU) and External Demerit analysis
  • Implementing and updating Quality Control Plans during pre‑ and serial manufacturing activities
  • Supporting the resolution of Non‑Conformance Reports (NCR) using problem‑solving methodologies
  • Leading Failure Analysis Reports (FAR) and participating in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
  • Qualifying manufacturing teams regarding self‑inspection and managing workstation dynamic checklists
  • Conducting or participating in product inspections as required
All about you
  • A diploma or degree in Quality Management, Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
  • 5 years in Industrial Quality Engineering
  • Experience or understanding of quality tools and problem‑solving methodologies
  • Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO9001, IRIS, or CMMI
  • Familiarity with processes and products delivered in industrial projects
  • A technical background in electromechanical, electrical, material, or mechanical engineering
  • Experience in operational activities and documentation management
  • Awareness of railway industry norms and certifications (advantageous)
