Job description

We are in need of a full-time Human Resources Manager to join our team at our offices outside Durbanville. The group consists of five companies, operating across four sites, with approximately 270 employees. You will report directly to the Managing Director but will work largely independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the full HR lifecycle from recruitment and selection to onboarding.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and ensure legal compliance.
  • Manage performance through structured KPI processes.
  • Facilitate and coordinate training and development initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong employee relations, acting as the strategic link between management and staff.
  • Communicate and align employees with the company’s vision and strategic goals.
  • Manage absenteeism, disciplinary hearings, performance enquiries, job descriptions, organograms, training records, and other HR functions.
  • Oversee and process time sheet approvals, SDL, H4M, and provident fund claims.
Requirements
  • Matric and a relevant tertiary qualification (Diploma or Degree in Human Resources or related field).
  • Minimum of 10 years proven experience in a similar HR management role.
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent in both Afrikaans and English (written and verbal).
  • Strong organisational, administrative, and problem solving abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and management skills, with a diplomatic and professional approach.
  • Well organised, adaptable, and detail oriented.
  • Demonstrated work ethic and sober habits.
What We Offer

This position offers a market related salary, dependent on qualifications and experience. Employees become members of a provident fund after their 3 month probation period. The annual company close-down is during December/January over the builders holiday. Working hours are from 08:00 to 17:00, with an early finish at 15:00 on Fridays.
