An exciting career opportunity exists for an assertive and autonomous HR Business Partner to act as a senior strategic advisor across the MENA and Sub-Saharan Africa regions. The incumbent will drive organisational transformation, cultural integration, and scalable people solutions across diverse markets. The role ensures that people strategies, change initiatives, and operating models align with business priorities, while maintaining strong compliance across multiple labour environments.

Responsibilities
Strategic People Partnering:
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership across countries, aligning people strategy with business goals.
  • Lead the People Roadmap to strengthen organisational effectiveness and long-term capability building.
  • Provide insights through regional HR analytics, identifying trends and strategic actions.
  • Harmonise ways of working, governance, and HR processes across MENA and Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • Anticipate people risks and opportunities, designing proactive strategic interventions.
Change Management & Transformation:
  • Craft and execute change and communication strategies to secure adoption across diverse cultures.
  • Coach leaders on transformation, resilience, and mobilising teams through uncertainty.
  • Support regional and cross-entity integration, ensuring consistent application with local adaptation.
Talent, Leadership & Performance Management:
  • Drive the performance management cycle consistently across the region.
  • Lead talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership development programs.
  • Coach leaders on performance improvement and team effectiveness.
Employee Relations & Compliance:
  • Oversee employee relations across MENA and Sub-Saharan Africa, ensuring fair practices and compliance with local labour laws.
  • Manage complex employment relations cases with sensitivity, partnering with Legal advisors as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to South African legislation, including the Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, and Employment Equity Act (affirmative action, equity plans, and reporting).
  • Partner with HRSS and Finance to ensure accurate and compliant payroll inputs.
Culture, Engagement & Employee Experience:
  • Champion organisational values across MENA and Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • Lead engagement, wellbeing, and inclusion programs tailored to local needs.
  • Shape high-quality onboarding and offboarding experiences.
  • Identify cultural gaps and guide leaders on targeted interventions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Psychology, or related field (post graduate qualification is preferable)
  • Approximately 7 years of HR generalist / HRBP experience
  • Relevant experience across multiple geographies / in international environments advantageous
  • Good technical knowledge of South-African labour law
  • Above average conflict resolution, coaching and change management skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Outstanding communication and language skills (English required, while basic to intermediate French and Afrikaans would be recommended)
  • High level of computer literacy (MS Office and basic SAP Success Factor knowledge)
  • Self-starter with excellent business acumen
  • Willingness to travel internationally (MENA; France or Spain)
