SUMMARY : POSITION INFO :

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Health & Safety Officer to join our manufacturing group, managing Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance across multiple factories and offices. This is a hands‑on role for an individual passionate about creating and maintaining a safe, compliant, and health‑conscious workplace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and monitor Health, Safety & Environmental policies across all sites.
  • Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and compliance audits.
  • Investigate incidents and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Plan and facilitate monthly and quarterly Health & Safety meetings .
  • Conduct safety inductions, training, and emergency drills.
  • Oversee PPE compliance and equipment inspections.
  • Manage environmental compliance, including monthly hazardous waste reporting to the City of Cape Town .
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly safety performance reports.
Requirements
  • National Diploma in Safety Management / Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent.
  • SAMTRAC / NEBOSH certification (advantageous).
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of OHSA, COID Act, environmental legislation, and hazardous waste management.
  • Strong communication, investigation, and report‑writing skills.
  • Ability to work across multiple sites.
