Job summary

A prominent financial institution is seeking a Head: Programmes to drive strategic leadership within its Independent Power Producer Office. The role entails developing and implementing a 5-year strategic plan, managing key procurement programmes, and leading multidisciplinary teams. Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and at least 10 years of experience in large infrastructure or PPP projects, ideally in energy. This is a critical position dedicated to enhancing project delivery and effectiveness in South Africa's energy sector.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in large infrastructure projects.
• At least 8 years at a Senior Managerial level.
• PMP accreditation is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop the Programme Management Department’s 5‑year Strategic Plan.
• Direct interpretation of the strategy into business plans.
• Manage the IPP Procurement Programmes.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships.
