Role OverviewA company in the Technology and Innovation sector is seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) to fill a temporary Head of Finance role.

The ideal candidate will provide strategic financial leadership, oversee financial operations, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and governance frameworks.

This is a critical role within the executive team, driving financial sustainability and supporting innovation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Finance department in alignment with company's strategic goals
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, PFMA, Treasury Regulations, and GRAP standards
  • Manage internal and external audit processes
  • Advise the CEO and Executive Team on financial matters and risk management
  • Drive effective cash flow and asset management
  • Oversee procurement and supply chain governance
  • Ensure financial controls are implemented and maintained effectively
Minimum Requirements
  • Registered Chartered Accountant (CA(SA))
  • Minimum of 10 years' financial management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or executive finance role
  • Strong knowledge of PFMA, GRAP, and public sector financial regulations
  • Experience in a government, public entity, or innovation-driven environment is an advantage
