Overview

Client in the Automotive sector situated in Sandton seeks a Group Financial Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Performing and updating the cash flow forecast on a daily/weekly/monthly basis, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Analysis of variances between forecast and actual cash flow to mitigate potential risk.
  • Daily/weekly/monthly checking of foreign procurement department: reconciliation of foreign suppliers, foreign exchange variances, and foreign purchases against supporting documentation.
  • Overseeing the annual budgeting process, including rolling budgets/forecasts.
  • Providing support to the Group CFO and operational finance team as and when required.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Financial Accounting (or similar).
  • 3 years of article experience with a medium‑size firm.
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of commercial experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to distil complex financial concepts into clear, concise insights.
  • Strategic mindset to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial data.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with foreign creditors and foreign exchange (advantageous).
  • Up‑to‑date knowledge of full IFRS (advantageous).
  • Must be able to work under pressure.
  • Must be a self‑motivated individual.
  • Must be able to work alone and in a team environment.
