German-Speaking Team Lead – European Shared Services

We’re supporting a global professional services firm in their search for a German-speaking Team Lead to join their European Shared Services (ESS) team based in Sandton (Hybrid).

This role offers the opportunity to lead a talented, multilingual team that provides operational support to European offices — including Ireland, Belgium, France, Switzerland, and Germany. You’ll play a key part in driving service excellence, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.

What We’re Looking For :
  • Fluent German speaker (C1 preferred, minimum B2).
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and time-management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and the confidence to make decisions independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other collaboration platforms.
  • Prior experience within a shared services or multinational environment will be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate a team of Senior Coordinators and Coordinators, ensuring high levels of productivity and service quality.
  • Manage daily task allocation, workload planning, and team performance.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for escalations, queries, and project coordination.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and continuous training initiatives.
  • Oversee HR-related processes such as performance reviews, return-to-work discussions, and probation tracking.
  • Maintain proactive communication with global stakeholders using digital collaboration tools.
