Job Description

Longreach Recruitment are hiring a newly created role of Forecast Modelling & Resource Planning Analyst.

Are you a technically talented Analyst with exceptional abilities and experience in modelling Capacity Plans, Demand Models, and detailed Forecasts from the ground up via analysis and modelling of large datasets? If so, this is a rare opportunity to utilise your skills in capacity planning, forecasting and data modelling for a UK market leading organisation. This position provides output for both a large field-based workforce and a contact centre operation.

We’re seeking interest from Analysts with advanced Excel skills, SQL abilities (to write and run extraction scripts), comprehensive data modelling abilities and “ideally” some knowledge of Tableau or PowerBI would be desirable but is not essential.

This is a hybrid position working 2 days onsite in Greater Manchester and offers a salary range of £45’000 - £55’000 (depending on experience) + Bonus + Broad Flexible Benefits.

Key Role Purpose & Responsibilities
  • Creation of bespoke analytical models to determine workload and demand, resource allocation, and future demand forecasts for both contact centre and field-based resources.
  • Own the creation of accurate and detailed forecast models (>13 weeks) which can be broken down into hourly / daily / weekly to ensure effective resource utilisation of FTE to meet demand profiles.
  • Support the Snr Forecasting Manager in the long-term annual, quarterly forecasting process.
  • Provide detailed analysis, forecasts of workload volumes and the optimal resource and capacity requirements needed to fulfil the demand.
  • Develop & maintain comprehensive reporting suites and dashboards to support tactical and strategic decision making.
  • Identify areas for process improvement with a focus on streamlining workflow for enhanced operational efficiency.
What Have You Done Before? What Do You Need to Demonstrate?

Candidates MUST have demonstrable experience in capacity planning, forecasting and data modelling with advanced abilities with Excel, solid SQL experience and the ability to manipulate large datasets to create bespoke plans and models from concept to delivery (build from scratch). Your experience will ideally contain contact centre operations and planning for field based resources.

Key Skills & Experience Will Include
  • Advanced modelling experienced (capacity plans, demand planning, forecasting)
  • Advanced Excel user with SQL abilities and ideally Tableau or PowerBI familiarity
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data in an engaging & meaningful manner to various stakeholders.
  • Create and develop ‘scenario models’ to understand impacts of change or marketing initiatives
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Comprehensive time management and prioritisation abilities
