Job description

Our client is looking for a FM with experience in Hospitality for a prestigious golf club.

Responsibilities
  • Overall financial management through the execution of the financial operating plan and strategy for the short, medium, and long-term
  • Develops and monitors standard operating processes / procedures, internal controls, and financial operations systems to manage the day-to-day operations of the finance department.
  • Directs operations to meet financial and operational targets
  • Serves as the management liaison to the Board of Directors and audit committee by effectively communicating and presenting critical financial matters.
  • Advises the General Managers and other key members of senior management on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities, and policy matters.
  • Manages the income statements, balance sheets, budgets, and reserves.
  • Ensures compliance with the appropriate accounting standards in line with a Non-Profit Company (NPC).
  • Prepares management reports for the Board of Directors.
  • Facilitates internal and external audits.
  • Asset management.
  • Regularly reviews Financial Risk Management Reports focusing on Association impact / concerns, legal compliance, governance, asset management, and reserve management.
  • Works closely with IT Manager to ensure the latest technological advances are implemented to meet the Estate's Minimum Requirements.
Qualifications
  • Formal accounting qualification
  • Professional accounting body registration
  • Experience with IT contingency planning and business continuity, business systems, and related technologies
  • 5 - 7 years' of financial management experience
  • Must be comfortable with public speaking
