Overview
Our client, a leader in the Manufacturing Industry, is seeking to employ an experienced Financial Manager to join their team based in Elandsfontein (East Rand).
The purpose of the role is to analyse, consolidate, and compile accounting and financial data to enable accurate reporting and to develop financial solutions that align with company policies and industry regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (NQF 7) – Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (NQF 8) with CIMA registration – Advantageous
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Accounting or similar role within the Manufacturing Industry
- Computer literacy: MS Office, SAP / ERP systems
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, reporting, and financial systems

Responsibilities
- Management Accounting
- Manage and control financials of designated business units.
- Ensure financial systems and structures support compliance and business performance.
- Maintain integrity and completeness of financial records.
- Ensure alignment with IFRS standards.
- Financial Reporting
- Compile and submit monthly forecasts, annual income statements, and balance sheets.
- Prepare dashboards and flash reports.
- Conduct variance analysis and create action plans.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly.
- Stock Count
- Assist in preparation and attendance of monthly stock counts.
- Conduct bi-monthly cycle counts (scrap, labels, etc.).
- Investigate and report on stock variances.
- Warehouse Analytics
- Analyze key performance indicators (e.g., battery rotation times, washing / charging cycles).
- Conduct inventory benchmarking and identify inefficiencies.
- Implement corrective action plans.
- Compliance
- Operate within internal controls and identify operational risks.
- Maintain and report on risk registers.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and policy frameworks.
- Cost and Financial Control
- Assist in budget preparation and monitor adherence.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and control deviations.
- Report any financial irregularities or overspending.
- Customer Service Management
- Build and maintain effective internal and external relationships.
- Provide feedback and solutions to stakeholders.
- Represent the company in relevant meetings and engagements.
