Job summary

A respected leader in hospitality in Mossel Bay seeks a proactive Financial Controller to oversee financial operations and contribute to strategic insights. The ideal candidate must have a Matric and a degree or diploma in accounting along with 2-3 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in SAGE or Pastel, fluency in English and Afrikaans, along with strong communication and organizational skills are essential. Qualifications

  • 2-3 years experience in accounting or bookkeeping including clerical or internship work.
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full function for AR/AP including age analysis and management of Debtors Control.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations and cash drop management.
  • Prepare financial reports and ensure compliance with financial controls.

Our client a respected leader in the Hospitality Industry is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join their dynamic team. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of the financial operations provide strategic insights and contribute to the long-term success of the organization.

Duties
  • Full function for AR / AP Including age analysis processing and management of Debtors Control
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Cash Drop reconciliations and management
  • Payroll preparation support
  • Maintaining ledgers to the trial balance
  • Filing and record-keeping
  • Support Financial Manager
  • Prepare financial reports
  • Ensure compliance with all internal financial controls rules and audit requirements
Qualifications
  • Matric coupled with a degree and or national diploma in accounting
  • 2-3 years experience in accounting / bookkeeping - including clerical or internship work
  • Computer skills - SAGE / Pastel MS Office (Excel)
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans
  • Previous experiences in the hospitality industry will be advantageous
