The ideal candidate will have over 9 years of experience in financial accounting and a B. Com Hons in Financial Accounting. Responsibilities

• Oversee Account Payable function in centralized system.

• Prepare and maintain bank reconciliations and cashflow forecasts.
• Compile, analyze and ensure completeness of month end reporting package.

Overview

The Financial Accountant is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting activities and monitoring all financial data to ensure accurate, reliable, and complete monthly financial reporting for South Africa. The role works closely with internal stakeholders including Sales, Pre-Sales, Administration, CoE, IT, HR, and Marketing, and liaises externally with Revenue Authorities, External Auditors, and Consolidation Teams to ensure compliance, transparency, and reporting integrity.

Responsibilities

• Over-seeing Account Payable function situated in Cluj (centralized system)
• Main contact person with the bank pertaining to foreign payments and submission of relevant documentation
• Monthly reconciliation of local Accounts Payable ledgers
• Run costing of Inventory items on Oracle
• Preparing and maintaining of Bank recons, Petty Cash and upload of Daily Bank Balances
• Preparing and maintaining of Cashflow actuals and forecast
• Preparing of monthly Inter-company cross charges and maintaining of Allocation accounts
• Preparing of monthly statutory returns such as VAT & PAYE
• Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register (SA & US GAAP) and CAPEX budget
• Preparing, compiling, analyzing and ensure completeness of month end reporting package on HFM
• Liaising with external auditors, co-ordinate the preparation of audit packs as well as compiling of financial statements
• General day to day accounting functions (e.g., journals, releasing of payments, calculating and posting of monthly revaluations, maintain the integrity of the GL)
• Ad Hoc responsibilities from Management

Qualifications

• B. Com Hons Financial Accounting
• 9+ Years of experience in Financial Accounting
