Job summary
A leading recruitment agency is seeking a qualified finance professional to manage financial reporting and compliance in the logistics sector. The ideal candidate will have a BCom degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include accounts management, VAT preparation, and budget monitoring, with a focus on ensuring compliance and supporting business operations. Qualifications
- B Com Degree in finance / accounting is essential.
- Honours qualification would be an advantage.
- Minimum of 3-5 years relevant working experience is required at this level.
- Individuals must live within close proximity of Umhlanga, Durban.
- Must have financial working experience within the Logistics / Transport / Shipping industry.
Responsibilities
- Able to prepare and analysis reports, prepare and present management / board pack, company overall compliance.
- Accounts Receivable (Full Function).
- Accounts Payable (Full Function).
- Monthly Management Reports and Analysis.
- Bookkeeping to Trial Balance.
- Preparation & Presentation of Management Accounts.
- Payroll Function - Review Payroll Analysis, Review & Process Journals.
- Preparations of VAT Recons & Submission of VAT Returns.
- Fixed Assets Register Management.
- Bank Account Management (Cashbook Review, Loading & Releasing Transactions).
- Prepare Audit Files & liaise with Auditors.
- Budgeting and Cost Management.
- Monthly Variance Analysis.
- Budget vs Actuals.
- Investigate and recommend financial matters affecting the business.
- General administration Duties (drafting Agreements).
