Finance Manager – South Africa based in Fourways

Client has office in South Africa, based in Johannesburg, is growing its local operations and seeks an experienced Finance Manager with strong knowledge of South African tax law, compliance, customer account reconciliation, and retail/consumer electronics industry practices to support its business expansion.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role in Johannesburg. The Finance Manager will be responsible for:
- Overseeing day-to-day financial operations and cash flow management.
- Managing the full financial function, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
- Handling customer and supplier account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
- Preparing and submitting VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns in line with South African tax law.
- Managing budgets, forecasts, and financial planning processes.
- Conducting financial analysis and presenting insights to support business decisions.
- Liaising with auditors, banks, SARS, and other external stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance with IFRS, South African regulations, and TCL Group standards.
- Collaborating with sales and marketing teams to evaluate the financial impact of promotions, rebates, and incentive schemes in the home appliance/consumer electronics sector.
- Providing financial guidance to management and supporting cross-functional teams with strong communication and negotiation skills.
Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years’ financial management experience, with at least 3 years in South Africa.
- Proven experience in customer account reconciliation and managing debtor/creditor relationships.
- Strong knowledge of South African tax laws and compliance (VAT, PAYE, Corporate Tax).
- Familiarity with home appliance/consumer electronics industry promotion rules and rebate practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Industry experience in electronics, consumer goods, or retail distribution will be an advantage.
- CA(SA) or equivalent professional qualification preferred; alternatively, BCom Finance/Accounting with extensive practical experience.
- Strong financial reporting, audit, and compliance background.
- Proficiency in SAP, ERP systems, and MS Office.
- Ability to work independently and manage a small finance team.
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
