Introduction

A Field Salesperson conducts sales out in the field via face-to-face interactions with bothnew and existing customers.

Responsible for offering the best possible customerexperience and providing a vast product offering with technical expertise.

Responsiblefor field sales in a specific area.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Must have well-developed interpersonal skills in order to interact effectively withcustomers (especially to influence negotiations) and develop co‑operativerelationship with all relevant internal and external stakeholders.
• An emotionally resilient individual with well‑development conflict handling skills inorder to withstand pressure of work and to interact with sensitivity in conflictsituation.
• Proven ability to meet and exceed sales target
• Good timekeeping and Day / Weekly planning.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Applicant should have Grade 12 or the equivalent of National certificate NQF Level 5. Must have a strong technical background and product knowledge – bearings, seals,power transmission (belts, chain, gearboxes), electrical motors, fasteners

• At least 3 to 5 years proven industry related sales experience
• Basic metrology (use of a venier-calliper, reading of technical drawing and basicmeasurement of components, understanding and application of conversion charts)
• Must have a valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle
• Skilled in oral and written communication.
• Computer skills in order to optimize the efficiency of processes within the unit. Experience on Sage or similar ERP system would be an advantage
• Previous experience with CRM will be an advantage

Basic arithmetic skills (add, subtract,multiply, divide, ratios and percentages) in order to draw up quotations
