Job description

Requirements

BEng / BSc / BTech in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Power Systems, or Control Systems. ECSA registration (or in progress).

Specialisation in power systems, power electronics, or control systems advantageous. 25+ years in power systems, grid integration, renewable energy, or control systems engineering. Exposure to prototypes, R&D environments, test rigs, or experimental technologies is highly advantageous. Strong understanding of grid-tied systems, synchronisation, protection, and grid-code compliance. Experience with inverters, converters, and power electronics controllers. Control systems knowledge: PID tuning, feedback / feedforward, safety interlocks, automation, state machines. PLC programming or embedded control logic (advantageous).

Experience with SCADA / HMI systems and industrial instrumentation. Strong understanding of fault levels, protection relays, and MV / LV systems. Ability to interpret electrical schematics and system models. Experience with MATLAB / Simulink, PLECS, or similar tools is beneficial.
