Job description

We have an exciting opportunity at Barron for an Embroidery Machine Operator who will report to the Floor Supervisor. This position is based at our offices in Westlake, Modderfontein, Gauteng.

Job Purpose

The purpose of an Embroidery Machine Operator is to sew, join gather, hem, and reinforce materials using industrial sewing machine.

Job Objectives

Stitch Products

• Adjust settings of machine, according to Product style and observation of operation.
• Adjust machine needle and presser foot to sew parts together to complete the product, replaces sewing machine parts and performs basic maintenance, such as oiling machine, selects supplies, such as thread colour and thread.

Housekeeping

• Apply basic housekeeping principles to ensure that the workstation is tidy.

Qualifications and Experience

• NQF3/Grade 11 or Equivalent
• 6-12 months experience in Sewing
