Job description

Job Purpose:
Responsible for managing the payroll data from end to end. You will be required to respond to your HR responsible parties regarding questions about earnings, deductions, and company contributions, as well as the ability to provide all report creation based on the countries internal requirements. Responsible for the management of both the ESS and leave.


Job Summary

  1. Responsible for full payroll functions (Capture, import, report, GL import & reconcile)
  2. Manage employee profiles for leave administration in accordance with leave policies and procedures.
  3. Administer & manage Employee self-service profiles General Monthly payroll processing.
  4. Month End Recons.
  5. General Ledgers / Journals & imports.
  6. Staff Accounts.
  7. Statutory Reporting and payment journals
  8. Process payment checks on time and resolve payroll issues in a timely manner.
  9. Ability to rotate into different countries
  10. Method of Calculation
  11. Knowledge Month end reporting and schedules for responsible countries
  12. Expatriate & local plus salaries & benefits
  13. Update Payroll SOP process in real time
  14. Accurate upkeep of soft copy filing system
  15. Adhoc requirements

Minimum Requirements

  1. Min 5 years Payroll experience
  2. Sage 300 is essential (ESS included)
  3. Attention to detail is essential
  4. Word and Excel is essential
  5. Matric Compulsory
  6. Ability to handle confidential information.
  7. Ability to work under pressure with set timelines and deadlines.
  8. Familiarity with the payroll related legislation within the Southern Africa Region.
  9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  10. Ability to prepare and present financial reports.
