Education & Experience

Tertiary education in Business or a related discipline (Commercial Business Marketing preferred) or equivalent work experience.

Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a mid-sized organization in a related industry, including at least 5 years of management experience in consumer/retail and/or marketing planning. Experience in transport and forwarding is an advantage.

Self-starter with strong planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Ability to derive key insights and present them simply and compellingly.

Role Context

Manage and develop customer relationships within the Multichannel Territory and Digital Accounts. Maximize profit through structured processes, including annual contact plans utilizing calls, emails, campaigns, re-qualification, and digital marketing in collaboration with marketing. Lead and coach sales channels and qualifiers to achieve revenue, productivity, and KPI targets. Ensure independent lead qualification processes are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer experience by leading a knowledgeable, responsive team.
  • Manage MCA customers, identify opportunities, and acquire new customers via digital marketing.
  • Serve as the primary sales contact for MCA customers, ensuring proper onboarding and resource awareness.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop effective campaigns tailored to customer needs.
  • Implement business tactics focused on new customer acquisition and current customer development.
  • Manage lead qualification and generation at the country level.
  • Harmonize regional sales processes and implement initiatives to meet sales targets.
  • Coordinate with other sales functions and departments to support sales activities.
  • Maintain and grow customer relationships through structured sales approaches.
  • Work with other Commercial Managers to ensure segment profitability and sales support.
  • Represent DSC in cross-functional improvement groups.
  • Re-profile customers, identify opportunities, and manage MC rank-up processes.
  • Update and manage CRM tools accurately and participate in automating sales processes.
  • Stay informed on products, prices, and services; develop new business tactics.
  • Ensure team training on sales tools and establish productivity targets.

Required Experience

Managerial experience in sales roles.
