Within this initiative, we partner with forward-thinking companies who prioritise staff well-being, enabling them to offer impactful support that genuinely enhances employees' lives.

As the first and Lead Designer , you'll play a critical role in shaping the design of the Wealthbit platform to achieve the goals of Wealthbit's Financial Freedom Programme,including our newmobile app and other digital touch points for the user. You'll also create systems to scale and optimise design at Wealthbit.

• Improved product usability :

The product feels more intuitive, cohesive, and polished, leading to higher user satisfaction and retention by translating complex requirements into clean, user-friendly experiences.

• Stronger alignment between design, product, and engineering :

Design is embedded and influential at Wealthbit. Strong, cross-functional relationships are built, ensuring that design contributes meaningfully to strategy, prioritization, and execution.

• Established or Evolved Design Systems :

Develop and improve consistent design systems and UI libraries to reduce design decision fatigue and improves product consistency and delivery speed.

• Establish processes for evidence based decision making

User research, testing, and iteration are built into the product process. The team moves from assumption-based design to evidence-based decisions, embedding feedback loops at every stage.

Responsibilities

• Shape and influence product direction : Contribute to our flavour of the Shape Up process by identifying opportunities to improve the product and advocating for design solutions that address user pain points.
• Lead and execute UX / UI design for key projects : Develop user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that solve real problems for users.
• Define and refine Wealthbit's design language : Create and maintain design systems, component libraries, and style guides to ensure brand consistency and scalability across all digital touch points people have with Wealthbit.
• Prototype designs : Work with the head of product to illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and the occasional design prototype in order to minimise risk before implementation.
• Conduct and oversee ad-hoc user research : Occasionally design and run usability tests, surveys, and interviews to uncover insights and validate design decisions.
• Proven Track Record :

You have 5+ years of UI / UXdesign experience with demonstrable success in your roles.

• Design Systems Thinking :

You can balance long-term scalability with short-term delivery, ensuring that design systems and processes scale as the business grows. For example : you have a fundamental understanding of design systems and how to use them in order to scale the product development process.

You are not too precious about any particular design and understand that design is iterative and bound to change based on the needs of the platform and user feedback.

• User-Centered Design Thinking :

You're comfortable navigating ambiguity and turning complex requirements into intuitive experiences that meet user and business needs.

• Effective Communication :

You can empathise with the listener and communicate complex ideas to at an appropriate level to other.You can make people feel comfortable during customer interview sessions.

• Iterative Mindset :

You embrace iteration and feedback : You're not precious about your work and welcome feedback as an opportunity to improve. You iterate quickly and effectively.

• Initiative & Problem Solving :

You proactively identify gaps, propose solutions, and take initiative to drive meaningful change without waiting for permission.

• Technical Fluency :

Even though you might not be an expert, you have at least a basic grasp of the core concepts in software development and understand how technical capabilities can impact design solutions.

• Asynchronous Collaboration :

You proactively own your goals, manage your time independently, and communicate clear thinking effectively, particularly in written form.

Bonus points if you have :

• Previous experience developing and scaling UI libraries and design systems, and working with developers to optimise the translation ofhigh fidelity designs into a code that delivers on the intended user experience.
