Job title: Deputy Store Manager - Gateway

Responsibilities
- Provide training to all associates and assist the store manager in staff development aligned with adidas retail growth objectives.
- Oversee daily store operations and ensure compliance with adidas retail policy and procedures.
- Support the store manager by implementing and maintaining a staff structure that minimizes payroll expenses and increases productivity.
- Assist the store manager by evaluating employees’ performance on a day-to-day basis.
- Perform or assist in the completion of all documentation associated with applicants, new hires, payroll.
- Utilize customer service, training, educational tools, and communication to develop staff toward adidas retail goals.
- Maintain personnel files to company standards and ensure confidentiality of adidas retail operating information.
- Ensure adherence to legal statutes and safety guidelines in store management and associate supervision.
- Obtain necessary skills and training through daily interaction with store management and external training to develop promotable skills.
- Adhere to adidas retail visual presentation guidelines.
- Implement security procedures including shrinkage control and safety inspections.
- Assist in developing merchandising, advertising, and promotional programs to meet sales and marketing goals.
- Resolve customer complaints.
- Maintain inventory levels by communicating with the store manager about product overages and shortages.
- Assist the store manager in implementing and maintaining management systems for planning, organization, controlling, and auditing store operations.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and / or Experience
- High school diploma and 2 years of retail experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

- Ability to use MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and point of sale systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and oral.
