A financial services company in Johannesburg seeks a Deal Manager to own the purchase order and invoice discounting deals lifecycle. The ideal candidate will manage relationships, oversee compliance, and ensure operational excellence across multiple deals. The Deal Manager is responsible for owning and managing the full lifecycle of purchase order and invoice discounting deals. This includes overseeing processes from initial client engagement to deal closure, coordinating with internal teams, and managing stakeholders to ensure seamless execution. The role requires strong leadership in managing multiple deals simultaneously, evaluating risks, and driving operational excellence across all deal processes.
Manage and oversee deals end-to-end, ensuring all processes are followed and completed accurately.
Take accountability for the full deal lifecycle, from client onboarding through to payment and closure.
Build, maintain, and grow relationships with existing clients, including upselling opportunities.
Conduct structured handovers of pending clients to maintain continuity and service excellence.
Lead regular meetings with new business leads and clients to ensure alignment.
Assess preliminary deal information for compliance with Sourcefin PO and INVD mandates.
Review and validate client information before processing deals through the relevant stages.
Liaise with clients on timelines, milestones, and deal progress.
Negotiate with clients on payment terms, profit share, and delivery expectations.
Manage client onboarding across all Sourcefin systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (legal, banking, procurement, logistics, finance, and tech) to drive deal success.
Manage time effectively to process and prioritise multiple deals at any given time.
Oversee stakeholder engagement, ensuring relationships remain aligned and deals progress smoothly.
Provide expectation management and communication between clients and internal teams.
Evaluate, monitor, and manage risk across deals to safeguard Sourcefin while enabling growth.
Guide clients in managing their relationships with end users.
Ensure accurate follow-up on delivery notes and invoices.
Oversee finance support in contacting end users regarding payment and terms.
Takes initiative, drives accountability, and ensures process ownership.
Builds strong, trust-based relationships internally and externally.
Anticipates challenges and implements practical solutions.
Handles multiple priorities and changes with ease.
Works cross-functionally to achieve aligned outcomes.
Maintains focus and professionalism in high-pressure environments.
Ensures client needs are met while safeguarding Sourcefin’s interests.
